This year's WiPHOF will open with a $200 + $30 Poker Gives Charity Poker Tournament with $50 re-buys on Thursday, June 4 at 7PM at the Golden Nugget.

The WiPHOF Induction Ceremony and Celebration emceed by Mike Sexton will take place Friday, June 5, at 6PM. Entry includes the dinner/dance, a commemorative gift, and nominating rights for the 2010 inductee selections. Tickets may be purchased at www.WomeninPokerHallofFame.com.

WiPHOF sponsors include Ocean's Eleven Casino, Card Player Cruises, Wynn Casino, GreasieWheels.com, and Spinetti's Poker Supplies.

About June Field

Field won a WSOP bracelet in the Ladies seven-card stud tournament in 1982, but it was her background in journalism that led her to make her mark in poker. Field founded Card Player magazine in 1988. "I wanted a media vehicle that would be a reliable source for advertisers and readers alike - One they could turn to and find out what's happening, where it's happening, and who is making it happen. Our slogan was, 'The magazine for those who play to win.'" She also founded Card Player Cruises, Classic Poker Cruises, and Poker Digest - a magazine that later merged with Casino Player magazine. Today, Field is retired and living in Las Vegas.

About Jan Fisher

Fisher moved to Las Vegas to become a poker dealer in 1977 and continued to deal for another 15 years, achieving management status, playing poker semi-professionally, and eventually becoming PartyPoker.com Million's tournament director. Fisher is currently a partner of Card Player Cruises, is co-founder of the Tournament Directors Association (TDA), and serves on the board of Poker Players Alliance (PPA), Ladies Poker Association (LPA), and Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS). For ten years, Fisher wrote the Card Player Magazine's "Poker 101" column, and currently writes the "Fishing Around" column for Poker Player Magazine. She is the live studio announcer for the Travel Channel's Professional Poker Tour (PPT), and was statistician for the World Poker Tour during its first six seasons. Today, Fisher conducts poker seminars, is an instructor for WPT Boot Camp, hosts various poker tournaments, and teaches poker students across the country. She is also involved in several charity projects.

About Cyndy Violette

Violette's early gaming career started in Las Vegas dealing blackjack and poker. She began playing tournament poker in 1984. As Violette's bankroll grew, she made the decision to become a full-time poker professional. Before long, she was setting records for most-money won by a female tournament player. In 1994, she moved to Atlantic City to play poker, enjoy life, and pursue her passion for healthy vegetarian cooking. In 2004, she won a World Series of Poker (WSOP) stud eight or better bracelet. In 2005, she made three final WSOP tables and celebrated six cashes. Violette has made several television appearances, including The Superstars of Poker, Poker Royale Pro/Celebrity, and the WSOP. Today, she travels between Las Vegas and Los Angeles playing high-stakes cash games and major tournaments. Violette also owns her own line of poker-inspired clothing and motivational products.
